HSBC is a Global leader in the Banking Sector and has a good
repute. The HSBC test takes the following pattern
in 2007.

Written Test
The written test consists of 4 sections which are English, Analytical, Verbal and C-and-Data Structures. The duration of the written test is about 1.5 Hours and contains some 90 questions.
Tech Interview
The technical interview is usually centered around yourown favourite subjects. So there shouldn't be much of an issue if your comfortable with that. Still you will be better off if you have a good understanding of C, C++, Data structures, SQL and RDBMS.
HR Interview
Once you are selected for the HR round like every other company, HSBC too ask you to fill in your details in a form. Be prepared with the
common HR questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'why should we hire you?'
